Sustainability is at the heart of many of the decisions we make as a family: when it comes to electricity, heating, construction, and cooking. The South Tyrol Sustainability Label confirms that we’re on the right track.
For guests, this is reflected in rooms furnished with local wood, regional cuisine, and the option to leave their cars at home.

The Schönblick holds Level 2 of the South Tyrol Sustainability Label. To achieve this, we had our operations audited against established criteria. We continue to work toward further improvement.

Energy & heating: green electricity and heat from wood
At the Schönblick, we use 100% green electricity. Heating and hot water are provided by a wood chip system. This allows us to heat with a renewable fuel.

Construction & Indoor Climate: Wood and Clay
We’ve used local wood in all rooms. Some rooms also feature walls with clay plaster. Clay can absorb moisture from the air and release it again. Wood brings its own scent into the rooms.

Kitchen & Waste: Cooking with local ingredients, reducing waste
Our kitchen uses regional ingredients. When it comes to waste, we focus on prevention—from shopping to the bathroom.

Mobility: Getting Around Without a Car
All our guests receive the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass. This allows them to use public transportation throughout South Tyrol during their stay. Charging stations are available for electric cars.

Stay longer, travel more mindfully
A good vacation takes time. Time to settle in, to hike, and to take a deep breath. Those who stay longer travel to and from their destination less frequently. This reduces travel and makes the vacation more peaceful.
